Eagle is a city in the western United States in Ada County, Idaho, ten miles (16 km) northwest of downtown Boise. The population was 30,346 at the time of the 2020 census. == Geography == According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 29.40 square miles (76.15 km2), of which 28.92 square miles (74.90 km2) is land and 0.48 square miles (1.24 km2) is water. === Climate === This region experiences warm to hot, dry summers, and cold, dry winters averaging ten inches (25 cm) of snow, with summer high temperatures averaging 85 °F (29 °C) and winter low temperatures averaging 25.6 °F (−3.6 °C). According to the Köppen climate classification system, Eagle has a "Csb" on climate maps.
